Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups raw almonds
  • 1 ½ cups dark chocolate (at least 60% cocoa)
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil (optional, for smoother coating)
  • ¼ tsp sea salt (optional, for a flavor boost)
  • ½ tsp cinnamon or cocoa powder (optional, for extra flavor)

Instructions

  • Toast the almonds:

    • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
    • Spread the raw almonds on a baking sheet and toast for 8-10 minutes, stirring halfway. Let them cool.
  • Melt the chocolate:

    • In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate and coconut oil in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until smooth.
    • Alternatively, use a double boiler to melt the chocolate gently.
  • Coat the almonds:

    • Add the toasted almonds to the melted chocolate and stir until fully coated.
  • Set the chocolate:

    • Using a fork, transfer the chocolate-coated almonds onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
    • Sprinkle with sea salt or cinnamon for added flavor.
  • Chill and enjoy!

    • Let the almonds set in the fridge for 30 minutes until firm.
    • Store in an airtight container at room temperature or in the fridge for a longer shelf life.
